| 3 held with drugs in Srinagar City | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Feb 9: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons and recovered 159 injections containing psychotropic/hypnotic material from their possession.
A police spokesman said during a routine checking at Shribhat Zadibal police intercepted a Maruti vehicle (JK01A 4154) and recovered the injections from the possession of Arshid Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Amira Kadal and Mohammad Yousuf Dantoo son of Mohammad Jamal of Rampora Chattabal.
During preliminary questioning, the duo, police said, disclosed that they used to procure these injections without any prescription from an unknown person belonging to Koimoh Kulgam and thereafter used to either sell or self inject these drugs. The identity of the said person is being ascertained.
In an another development in the Hazratbal Sub division, Police Station Nigeen during a routine checking apprehended Abdul Majid Sofi son of Ghulam Ahmad of Gund Tailbal from KMD Adda Kashmir University extension and recovered 45 kgs of dried cannabis leaves from his possession.
