2/10/2011 10:11:25 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 10: Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) flays state government for step- motherly behavior towards Jammu region.

Addressing a press conference here today, Sahil Choudhary, senior JJSF leader, pointed out some discriminations faced by Jammu region and their people in the present time. He said that at present Jammu region contributes more than 76% of the Tax resource in comparison with the Kashmir region which is only 23% and in times of distribution at funds for development purposes. Jammu gets 25% to 30% and it is quite shameful.
He also added that Jammu region has been politically neglected as presently Jammu region has 37 Assembly seats only and the geographical area of Jammu is 26,293 sq kms against 15,947 of Kashmir region. He asked to the authorities that if seats distributes in terms of area then where is our legitimate share.
