| Foundation for shed of Radha Krishan Mandir laid | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 10: Continuing with his developmental activities, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Jammu East Constituency Ashok Khajuria laid the foundation stone for the construction of a shed in the premises of Radha Krishan Mandir near Rani Park area of Old city in presence of a large number of local residents and party activists.
An amount of Rs. 2.34 lakh has been made available by the MLA from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the purpose.
On the occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that with the construction of a shed, the long pending demand of the people will be fulfilled soon.
There is hardly any day when people in large number, including women, visit the Radha-Krishan Mandir to perform religious and social rituals and in absence of any roof or shed they have to suffer problems particularly during rains and hot summer days.
Khajuria said that although a MLA gets financial assistance under CDF but this amount is too little for the constituencies which are densely populated and have been neglected for years together.
