| Talent search held at Universal High School | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 10: In order to explore the hidden talent of schoolchildren of the state, the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages has initiated a talent search programme, the first leg of which commenced from the premises of Universal High School, Chhani Karthalo here today.
Commenting on the talent search programme, secretary Academy of Art, Zafar Iqbal Manhas said that the Academy had launched the programme on experimental basis with the objective of exploring hidden talent among school children.
Additional secretary Cultural Academy, Shamima Akther said that in case of better results the programme would be conducted across Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, principal Universal High School said that she was thankful to the Academy for choosing her institution as the launch pad for the prestigious talent search programme.
Elaborating the concept Akhter informed that the programme aimed at discovering talent among school children and providing them a platform whereby they could be groomed in their field of interest.
Those present on the occasion included chairman NHS, Mohinder Singh Slathia, AS, Academy, Shamima Akhter, noted artists Anil Tickoo and Bhupinder Singh among others.
