| HC allows Jammu University appeal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb-10 (JNF):- A Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu Wing comprising Chief Justice Aftab H Saikia and Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir today allowed LPA filed by the University of Jammu & others against the judgment of writ Court whereby Writ Court on April 19, 2001 and set-aside and quashed the notification issued by the University of Jammu on December 15, 1997, ordered that the respondents in this LPA disqualified for a period of two years from appearing any University examination.
The court after hearing the parties observed that the adoption of unfair means in examination is a serious matterthat too in a B.Ed Examination taken by the teachers and such action, if found guilty cannot be condoned and no lenient view in this contest is permissible and referred a judgment of the Supreme Court and allowed the appeal filed by University of Jammu and set-aside the judgment impugned.
