J&K coalition govt committed to equitable development: Bhalla | | | Early Times Report KULGAM, Feb 10: Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla today said that coalition government in the state is committed to provide equal opportunities to the people living in three regions of the state. He said that government has accorded priority to the welfare plans of those belonging to economically weaker sections of the society. Bhalla said that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and PM Dr Manmohan Singh have always evinced keen interest for making Jammu and Kashmir a model state for which this state is being liberally funded for various projects. He said several projects under PMGSY and ADB funded schemes are going apace in the state adding that various schemes for tackling unemployment problem have already been launched including SKEWPY in the state. However, he said Tehsildar would be asked to visit this area twice in a week and also issued instruction to Dy Commissioner Kulgam in this behalf so that the peoples’s grievances are readdressed on the spot. Bhalla said that work on under execution mini secretariat costing Rs 7.28 crore is going apace and Rs 4 crore have been spent so far.
