HC allows withdrawing of petition challenging selection of 35 Munsiffs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb-11 (JNF):- Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing allowed withdrawal of three petitions filed by practicing Advocates challenging the selection of Munsiff with liberty to file fresh petitions. Justice JP Singh after hearing Advocat Sunil Sethi with Advocate Ravi Abrol for the three writ petitions whereas Sr. Adv DC Raina with Advocate FA Natnoo for Public Service Commission, observed that selection records of JKPSC has produced of the J&K Civil Services (judicial) competitive Examination held by PSC. Counsel for the petitioners has requested, was permitted to peruse the record in the Court. After perusal of the record Advocate Sunil Sethi appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners be permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to file fresh petitions to question selection by arraying those who had been selected. Court allowed the prayer by the senior counsel and dismissed three petitions with liberty to file fresh petitions. petitioners who are presently practicing lawyers in the Subordinate Court and High Court had filed these petitions, challenging the selection on the base of advertisement notice issued by the PSC on October 24, 2008 for the posts of KCS (Judicial), seeking quashment of the select list on the basis of said advertisement notice and also seeking direction to the respondents to hold the selection a fresh strictly in accordance with the provisions of law and in totally fair and transparent manner and also seeking directions to the respondents not to issue any appointment orders in favour of the selectees whose Roll Nos have been declared.
