| Tributes paid to Deen Dayak Uphadhaya | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 11: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today paid a homage to Pt. Deen Dayal Uphadhaya on his 43rd death anniversary by observing the day as “Samarpan Diwas” here today.
In a simple programme held under State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, the party leaders and activists described him as great soul and a noble human being.
Speaking on the occasion, Manhas said that although Deen Dayal Uphadhaya lost his parents during his early childhood, but he continued his studies as a shining student and obtained gold medals both at the matriculation as well as Intermediate Board Exams.
Later, he even qualified the Civil Service Exam; but he didn't join civil services as he was fascinated by the idea of working with the common people.
Manhas said that Deendayal Uphadhaya was an institution in himself and took pledge to popularize his ideology among the masses.
