| Cricket: J&K faces Services today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 11: A close contest is expected when J&K faces equally good Services in their second outing in the ongoing North Zone one-day tournament for Vijay Hazare trophy at Dhruv Pandove Stadium, Patiala tomorrow.
Both the teams have been thrashed by the rivals in their first outing of the tournament. While J&K defeated by star-studded Delhi by 81 runs, Services suffered a six-wicket loss in the hands of Himachal Pradesh.
Now, in tomorrow’s second league tie, Services shall be banking on their skipper Yashpal Singh, who hit a superb century in the first match while J&K would rely on young Parvez Rasool.
It has been reliably learnt that J&K most likely would be playing the same side that they fielded against Delhi the other day. If the team plays to its potential and the players hold their nerves in crunch situations and play like a cohesive unit, they can clinch a victory. =====
