CS lays stress on urban reforms | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 11: Chief Secretary Madhav Lal today stressed need for undertaking urban reforms in the state so that the urban infrastructure development projects are completed in time and benefits percolate down to people. Reviewing the performance of Housing and Urban Development Department here this morning, Chief Secretary said that undertaking urban reforms is a pre-requisite for the smooth fund flow from the Centre for the implementation of urban infrastructure development projects taken up in the State. Chief Secretary also reviewed the functioning of the Municipal Corporations of Jammu and Srinagar and the pace of reforms being undertaken at these institutions. He advised computerization of the Municipal records so that people are served better and with promptness. He was told that four projects under Urban Infrastructure & Governance are under execution in Jammu and Srinagar cities. |
