| 3 major parking slots for Jammu on anvil | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 11: Government is contemplating to develop three additional major parking slots for smooth regulation of traffic in Jammu City.
This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister, while chairing a high level meeting convened to discuss modus operandi for developing these slots. Advisor said that for development parking slots at Railway Station, Airport and Roopnagar, requisite land would be identified and instructions in this regard have been communicated to concerned departments for acquisition of land so that these parking slots would be developed.
Gul said that in order to develop parking slots at Panjtirthi and Parade Ground for matadors, necessary land for the purpose has been identified and a proposal for approval and release of funds stands forwarded by the concerned departments to the Government.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on various issues and several decisions were taken for regulation of smooth traffic in the city. The concerned authorities were directed to gear up men and machinery for removing frequent traffic jams in busy areas of the city.
