| Seminar on ‘Chemistry our life, our future’ organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Feb 11 : In connection with the international year of chemistry 2011, a one-day seminar on ‘Chemistry our life, our future’ was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Govt. M.A.M. College here today.
Dr S.C. Taneja, an eminent scientist from Indian Institute Integrative Medicine (CSIR), Jammu was the resource person. In his exhaustive lecture on green chemistry, he elaborated its principals and various aspects which was followed by healthy interaction. The lecture was highly innovative for the students as well as for faculty.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajeet Angral, Principal of the college welcomed the resource person and said that such events help the students to develop curiosity about chemistry and assured all possible help to chemistry department for celebrating the IYC 2011 by organizing such seminars, extension lectures, conferences & quizzes.
Dr. Qazi Naveed Ahmed also spoke meticulously on the event .
Rohit Kumar and Sativinder Singh, both students of B.Sc. Part-1 also made their presentations.
Earlier, Dr Sangeeta Sudan, Head, Department of chemistry introduced the resource person to the audience.
