Fake recruitment racket busted, 2 held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 11: Busting a fake recruitment racket, police Thursday apprehended two persons at Thathri in Bhaderwah area of Doda along with three fake appointment letters. Police sources identified the accused as Mohammad Sikandar Wani, son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Kokernag, Anantnag, and Mohammad Hussain, son of Abdul Aziz of Lower Munda, Doroo, Anantnag. They were alleged to have taken Rs 3 lakh each from three unemployed youth -- Sardar Mohammad, Anjum Iqbal and Zuber Ahmad -- of Thalela, Thathri.The matter came to light after Sardar approached police with a complaint against the accused. Sources said he lodged the complaint with police after there was a delay on the part of the accused to hand over the appointment letters to them. When the two accused arrived at Thathri last evening, a police party, which already waited for them, apprehended them. Three fake appointment letters of forest department were recovered from them, the sources added. The accused had been booked under under sections 419 A, 420 A, 465 A, 467 and 468 of RPC. When contacted, ASP, Bhaderwah, Tilak Raj Katoch said the questioning of the accused was in progress.
