| Shiv Sena take out protest demonstration | | | JAMMU NOV-110 To register its protest over the alleged discrimination with Jammuites in different sectors, Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of its General Secretary Ashok Gupta today took out a protest procession from Ranipark. The procession after passing through the main bazaars culminated at city chowk. Addressing the rally, Gupta alleged that although the PDD has installed electronic metres in Jammu city, still the consumers had to undergo unscheduled power cuts, which is against the assurance of the Government that there would be no power cuts in such areas where theses metres stand installed. He said the non-availability of electricity for over eight hours a day has adversely affected the water supply position in the city and in even in some cases the water has not been supplied for the last nearly a month now, he alleged. Gupta alleged that the Government quarters occupied by the move employees are being exempted from installation of electronic metres adding that if the government employees are given undue benefits why the general people are forced to get these metres installed. He demanded that the Government employees putting up in the quarters should be charged as per the consumption so that equality is maintained. Rajeev Bandhari, Satish Kumar, Sat Paul, Suresh Kumar and Labha Ram were among those, who participated in the protest rally.
