Army’s educational tour for children concludes

JAMMU, Feb 12: 23 school children accompanied by two school teachers today returned from an education tour to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
Tour was organized under Operation Sadbhavna from February 1 to 12, 2011 by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force. Tour was flagged in by Commanding Officer of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in the presence of parents, school teachers and locals.
During the past 11 days, tour participants visited various places of historical and national interest at Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and witnessed rich cultural heritage. Prominent landmarks of the tour included Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and City Palace, Jaipur.
Children also visited shopping malls, multiplex and had a joy ride in Delhi metro. Parents and locals were very happy to receive their well informed wards and profusely thanked the Army for organizing this tour for children of the remote areas.
