Biggest ever show of unity by J&K Scouts in Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 12: It was one of the historical youth gatherings at Parade Stadium, Jammu, organized by J&K Scouts and Guides Chapter of All India Boys Scouts. Thousands of Scouts arrived from Kashmir valley and 5000 Scouts of Jammu also joined them to present well disciplined march past and colourful programme of unity.
Chief Commissioner of J&K Scouts and Guides, Khawaja Farooq Renzu Shah welcomed all the dignitaries and presented scarf of honour to them immediately after their arrival. Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Raman Bhall, Mubark Gul, Devinder Singh Rana, Nasir Aslam Wani and Kuldeep Khoda in their speeches and messages to the Scouts appreciated the extra-ordinary arrangements made by this organization for holding a grand campuri-2011.
They said that rand show has enhanced the image of J&K State and strengthened the ideology of unity and brotherhood. All were of the unanimous opinion that it is need of the hour that youth should come forward to erase all kinds of negative feelings and play their key role in protecting the brighter image of the unity.
They said that it is for the first time that students of Kashmir and Jammu are together under the umbrella of scouting merging their minds and body movement together as if they are one mind and one thought. mpressed by show of unity among the participants of the camp, Mian Altaf announced to organize such functions at Kangan, Sonamarg and other forest resorts to channelize the energy of youth in the right direction.
Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed said that such functions need to be encouraged for the betterment of State’s youth. He said supporting such events is akin to investing in peace and development. Raman Bhalla assured to support the organization in making adequate arrangements for the camp. He said scouts and guides serve as peace ambassadors in their respective areas of inhabitation.
Nasir Aslam Wani assured a Mansar trip to the participant scouts and Guides to boost their morale and refresh them by outing. Kuldeep Khoda announced Rs. 3 Lakh for purchasing band equipment to raise scouts band in the organization.
They complimented the organisation particularly Khawja Farooq Renzu Shah for inculcating moral spirit among scouts. They said that these camps should not be confined to capital cities only but these campuris and integration camps should be held in all districts of J&K by the organization. All respective Ministers will provide full support to them for encouraging budding generation.
Prof. Parray, Kapur, Tarun Behl, Retish Kapur, Yousuf Manzal, Gowhar Akhtar Hussain, Mufti, Mahajan, Luthra and other personalities gave their presentations on behalf of scouting. As many as 42 schools participated in the programme.
