JAMMU, Feb 12: In protest against growing ‘communalization’ and ‘criminalization’ of politics in J&K as well as the rest of the country, the Forum for Democratic Rights (FDR) staged a demonstration here today. Members and office bearers of the organisation together with concerned citizens gathered at Press Club of Jammu to convey some important messages through slogans and speeches.
The president of FDR, Professor Zahoorudin spoke said that the organization is concerned about the increasing communalization and criminalization of politics. He stated that to counter these dangerous
trends, it is important for civil society to come together and take the responsibility of raising substantial issues and giving a progressive, pro-people direction to the political process. Vice president ID K added that in particular the forum was protesting against gross corruption in government dealings, victimisation of honest hardworking employees and officers. The forum also expressed
