| Awareness campaign on RD schemes launched | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Feb 12: As part of week long intensive public Awareness Campaign on Rural
Development schemes with special emphasis on Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) and National Rural Drinking Water Mission (NRDWM), the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India organized a day long awareness camp at Ghat Block of Doda District toady. This Public Awareness Campaign is being organized in close coordination with the department of Rural Development, ICDS, Public Health Engineering (P.H.E) and Department of Rural Sanitation Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. The programme was organized at the Office complex of Block Development Officer, Ghat, as many as 300 villagers from remotest corners of Ghat developmental block despite of inclement weather conditions
participated in this Awareness Camp.
Detailed lecture on MGNREGA were delivered by the experts from rural development department which are aimed at awarding the general masses about this unique employment generation programme. The programme was presided over by Akhtar Qazi, Block Development Officer, Ghat. .
