Range level singing competition held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, FEB 12- A Range level Talent Hunt, Singing Competition under Civil Action Programme “ Chhoona hai Aasmaan” was held at District Police Line Udhampur here today. Participants from District Udhampur and Reasi who were selected earlier in contest were participated in the talent hunt. Miss Sunaina Kundal of Govt. Girls HSS, Reasi and Master Nasserullah Bhat of Everest Public School Mahore was declared best in junior group category while Miss Sunali Rajput of K.V. No. 01 Udhampur and Mr. Sahil Sharma GHSS Udhampur was adjudged as best singer under senior category in talent hunt programme. Similarly Mr. Ashish of New Era HSS Udhampur and Mrs. Manju Bala of Udhampur was adjudged best singer in open category of Udhampur–Reasi Range singing competition. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Jagjit Kumar lauded the performance of young singers for their participation in the programme. He highlighted the role of Civic Action Programme in bridging gap between public and police. He said that Talent Hunt Programme was organized to promote the potential singer of the state. DIG hoped that the winners of the contest would excel at other plateform in near future also. These winners would participate in Zonal Level singing competition Jammu soon, he added. Certificates and cash rewards were given to the winners and participants of the contest. Among others, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Surinder Gupta, Additional SP, S. Bupinder Singh, Dy. SP HQ, Dy. SP DAR, officers police and civil departments, prominent citizens and Jawans were attended the programme. Dr. Aksa, Mr Amit Sadotra and Mr.Yog Raj Sheetal were acted as Judge in the contest.
