| Higher parking charges that too without safety! | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 12: In the time of rising inflation, a wasteful burden is imposed on the common man. This burden is of parking charges. The various parking places across city over the last few years have become a source of anxiety to the common man. The parking charges are too much to bear but the facilities being provided by the operators to the customers are not of high quality. The parking slips that are being given to the vehicle holders have some of the terms which openly make mockery of the common man. One of the terms that have been mentioned in the tickets is that there is no security or safety of vehicle in the parking places. They clearly mentioned that if there is any loss of the vehicle, parking operators are not liable for that. So what is the difference between parking the vehicle on the road side or in a parking lot. “My clutch plug was stolen when I parked my bike in a parking place at Bawa Wali Mata. When I talked to the parking staff for the happening they said that they were not responsible for that” said a local devotee, Ravi Kumar.
