| Govt order on redemption of engineer’s plight hailed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 12: A meeting of all J&K mechanical engineers association was held today under the chairman of R. K. Kohli its president that has hailed the govt. order No. 296- F of 2010 dated 21- 12-2010 where in the junior engineers have been placed in PB-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4200 with prospective effect and entrant degree holders junior engineers shall be entitled for an initial higher start of six advance increments.
Kohli while highlighting the plight of engineers urged the authorities for conceding their other genuine demands like regularization of mechanical engineers from assistant engineer level and above by giving them back dated effect, creation of post from junior engineer to superintending engineer level which was sanctioned during the creation of newly created districts in J&K state, fixed traveling allowance for junior engineers from Rs. 30 to Rs. 100 permonth and running grades for engineers.
