Joint Action Committee protest against govt’s callous attitude | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua Feb 12: The representatives of all government employees’ federations held a protest in support of their long pending genuine demands under the banner of Joint Action Committee Kathua and urged the state government to release their pending arrears of the sixth pay commission since 2006. Joint Action Committee condemned the policy of installments to pay the arrears of the sixth pay commission which would never be accepted by the employees at any cost. They said that the pensioners are also facing the same problems of delaying of the arrear of the sixth pay commission and most of the employee have lost their lives in a hope to get the dues but the govt did not pay any attention towards the employee which is a great mockery of the employees of JK made by the Omar’s regime. In this regard an ultimatum has been given by the committee to solve the genuine problems of the employees before 21st of Feb other wise employees have to choose the path of strikes and demonstration in support of their demands. The protest was held under the leadership of senior member of EJAC. Balkar Singh along with others Puran Singh, Manohar Singh, and dentist Jasrotia was also present.
