| Awareness campaign on sanitation organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Feb 13 : Despite heavy rains and smoggy road conditions, a one day public awareness camp was organized by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India at village Premnagar of Gundana block of Doda district today in which many people participated.
The programme was organized in collaboration with the Rural Development and other State agencies.
Anil Chandal, Block Development Officer, Gundana presided over the programme while as Varun Jeet Singh Charak, CDPO, Gundana was guest of honour. The BDO resource persons and other experts besides N. Gulshan Raina, Nodal Officer of the campaign delivered lectures on the programmes and schemes of the Government of India regarding providing better living conditions, improved economical conditions and accelerating the developmental works of the village under NREGA, TSC and National Rural Drinking Water Mission.
A seminar on total sanitation was also organized in which about a dozen volunteers participated and highlighted the features of the Rural Development programmes. The BDO explained in detail the TSC for betterment of the masses with poster display. Participants and resource persons were honoured with mementos by Raina, Nodal Officer.
