| Army touches lives at Village Battal Ballian under operation sadbhavana | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Feb 13: Sky Archers inaugurated an Operation Sadbhavana project at village Battal Ballian today. This effort comes after Brigadier Davis PP, inaugurated a project comprising of construction of an additional classroom and provision of basic furniture for students at Government Middle School, Ritti. The project also involves provisioning of three
computers with allied furniture for a computer room, class room furniture and primary school furniture. All efforts were made to meet the genuine aspirations of the villagers.
The Government High School was facing acute problems of lack of basic infrastructure for students. The school management had approached the unit for provision of classroom furniture and equipping the computer room with necessary computers and allied furniture.
At a function attended by about 400 villagers and school children that marked the inauguration of the project, the local population expressed gratitude and satisfaction on the infrastructure having been provided at the school under Operation Sadbhavana. Colonel Ashok Yadav, Commanding Officer while dedicating the project to the villagers
remarked that the project will have a long term effect on the quality of life and education of all students of the school in the prevalent hi-tech environment and will provide impetus and motivation to neighboring villages to utilise the facilities of the school. He
stressed that the village must maintain these projects to derive the benefits in the times to come.
