| State bench press championship held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 13: A day-long State Bench Press Championship held at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here wherein lifters in both men and women sections compete for different weight categories today.
The preliminary rounds of the event took place in the morning and afternoon sessions while the finals and prize distribution function held late in the evening.
In the prize distribution function, Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla was chief guest, who gave away prizes. Speaking to the gathering, Minister encouraged the participants, especially the women and appreciated the organizers for providing a platform for young men and women to excel.
