Nasir demands regular air service for Marwah, Dachhan

KISHTWAR, Feb 13: Youth Congress leader Sheikh Nasir Hussain has demanded for regular air-service for far flung areas of district Kishtwar, as the surface link has got closed due to heavy snowfall. In a press statement issued here, Sheikh Nasir said that due to heavy snow fall the farflung areas like Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan have got disconnected and hundreds of people are stranded at district head quarter Kishtwar. He has demanded that till the surface link is restored a regular air service be provided so that the stranded people may reach their home and the employees can also reach their place of postings. Sheikh Nasir has further said that no doubt government has provided helicopter service but that is available once in fortnight which is not sufficient. Sheikh Nasir has appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to provide a regular air service for these areas during winter season. He has said that in the event of closure of surface link these areas are facing acute shortage of ration and other essentials.
