| Rachpal flags off Kashmir farmers’ agriculture tour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 13: To acquaint the progressive farmers about latest Knowhow in agricultural techniques, Vice Chairman Kissan Welfare Advisory Board, Mr Rachpal Singh today flagged off 100 farmers of the Kashmir valley on an agriculture tour.
The farmers hailing from Bandipura, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar and Shopian districts would visit various states and get firsthand experience of the techniques being adopted in these areas for better
produce and diversification of crops.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said that the objective behind these agriculture tours are to train the farmers of the state in the latest techniques used in agriculture field in the neighbouring states so
that they can use these techniques back at home to increase agriculture production. He said these tours have proved greatly beneficial as reported by the field supervisory staff.
On the occasion, Director Agriculture, Jammu, Director Sericulture and other senior officers were also present.
