| Bedi delivers lectures on heart disease | | |
JAMMU, Nov 10
Dr Harinder Singh Bedi, a renowned cardiologist from Punjab delivered a lecture on controlling heart disease by screening a film here this evening.
The aim of holding such lecture is to educate the masses besides suggesting remedial measures to minimize the chances of heart disease.
Bedi said that stress, smoking, use of alcohol, eating of oily items increase the chances of heart attack adding that it is not only the elders but even the younger generation is getting affected by the disease. He said according to the survey there are chances of increasing of the diseases in New Delhi, Punjab and in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent among those present were President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Ram Sahai, Secretary General, Rajinder Motial and senior vice President, Om Parkash Gupta.
