JKNPP seeks judicial inquiry in Sopore killings | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) chairman Bhim Singh today visited the families of the two teenager girls who were shot dead two weeks’ back in Sopore area of Baramullah district. According to an official handout, Singh was accompanied by Masood Andrabi, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Manzoor Naik, Mehboob Illahi and others senior leaders of the Party. The two teenager girls, namely Asifa and Akhtara were forcibly taken out of their house and shot dead. Singh reiterated party’s demand to hold judicial enquiry into the tragic assassination of two innocent human beings. Earlier, Singh announced 25-member executive committees for the Districts of Budgam and Gandherbal. Abdul Rashid Ganie was elected as President of District Gandherbal whereas Mohammed Yusuf Wani was elected President of Budgam. Later, Bhim Singh urged Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to grant general amnesty to all the Kashmiri prisoners and release them unconditionally. Singh reiterated that he would resort to fast-unto-death outside Raj Bhawan in case all the contractual, ad-hoc, casual government employees including SPOs are not regularized by March 15, 2011. He also demanded that Civil Secretariat in Srinagar should be reopened immediately for the convenience of the public.
