Terming the accusations as politically motivated, Taj Mohi-ud-din asserted that he had purchased the land from Tilak Raj way back in 1990 after paying its cost at the prevailing rates. “The Revenue and Settlement Court have also given decision in my favour….. The girdwari of land was registered in the names of my family members in 1996 …. I am ready to prove the ownership right of the land in any court of law” Taj maintained adding “I will abide by the decision of Civil Court whatever it be.” Even successive state governments since 1990 headed by Governor, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Ghulam Nabi Azad ordered inquiry into the issue and he came clean every time, PHE Minister said Taj said that time and again BJP is raking up this issue just to score political mileage.
