The municipal committee authorities today launched a drive against encroachment in the town with the help of police, municipal authorities removed the encroachment and warned the shopkeepers that in future no such action will be tolerated, and defaulters will be penalized.
As per reports a number of complaints were booked by the municipal authorities in this regard. Due to encroachment pedestrians had to face problems, beside frequent traffic jam.
Keeping this in view, the municipal authorities led by President Davinder Singh Chib alongwith executive officer, Kuldeep Dogra, Kahlif Wazir Officer, Manohar Lal Sharma with the help of police removed encroachment in the town.
