Fulfill vacant post of chairman JK Board: PYC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Feb 15: President Pradesh Youth Congress Jammu & Kashmir Shoaib Nabi Lone has shown concern over vacant post of Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education. In a press statement issued here Lone has said that the post of Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education is lying vacant for a long time and the authorities are not taking any steps for its fulfillment. PYC president has said that due to vacant post of the head, the functioning of the institution is badly affected. He has also alleged that sources have informed that some higher up of the education department are demanding money for the posting of Chairman which as per Lone is a matter of great concern. He has said that Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education is a premier institution and people of the sate have faith in it. Keeping the post of the Chairman vacant for a long time raises fingers towards the authorities at the helm of affairs. He has further said that due to non-availability of Chairman the institution has shown the poor result recently. He has appealed the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and Chief Minister of the state to intervene into the matter and issue necessary instructions upon the concerned authorities and ensure that the post of Chairman J&K Board of School Education is fulfilled at an earliest. He has further demanded that an honest and dedicated officer be appointed as Chairman of the Board and for that a panel of high level officers be framed for the fair selection of the Chairman.
