DYSS organizes off season coaching camps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, February 15: Identifying the talented boys and girls out of the different inter-school and inter-zone competitions of Jammu district, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) has organised a fortnight long off season coaching camp at Sainik School Nagrota grounds, near here. “Aimed at improving the physical strength, skills and fundamentals, the camp is being organised for different events including football, hockey and kho-kho,” when contacted, Deputy Director (Central), Ashok Kumar told SAN. Today the camps were visited by the Director General DYSS, SA Leharwal along with other senior officers of the Department. “Over 100 athletes are attending the coaching sessions under the guidance of experts in the disciplines,” further said the Deputy Director. Visiting DG also interacted with the campers and inquired about their coaching and comfortable stay at Youth Hostel Nagrota. Similar coaching sessions are underway in Kashmir Valley where young boys and girls have been involved in ski camps at Gulmarg by the DYSS. ===
