| Talent hunt organised at DPL | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Anantnag Feb. 15: A range level Talent Hunt, singing competition under Civil Action Programme “ Chhoona hai Aasmaan” was held at District Police Lines Anantnag here today.
Participants from District Anantnag, Awantipora, Kulgam,Pulwama and Shopian who were selected earlier in District level contest, participated in the talent hunt.
Ishfaq Ahmad Daga of Pampore and Nafisa Bilal of Shopian was declared best in junior group category while Musrat Aziz and Bilal Ahmad Sheikh of Pulwama was adjudged as best singer under senior category in talenthunt programme.
Similarly, Mohsin Dilshad of Shopian and Firdous Ahmad Dar was adjudged best singer in open category of South Kashmir Range singing competition.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shafkat Watalie lauded the performance of young singers for their participation in the programme. He said that Talent Hunt Programme was organized to promote the
potential singer of the state.
DIG hoped that the winners of the contest would excel at other platform in near future also. These winners would participate in Zonal Level singing competition in Kashmir soon, he added.
Cash rewards were given to the winners and participants of the contest.
Among others Additional SP, Muneer Ahmad, Dy. SP HQ, Majid Malik, officers police and civil departments, prominent citizens and jawans attended the programme.
District Sports officer Nisar Ahmad Salroo, Nazir Ahmad Kadoo and Nazir Gawher were acted as Judge in the contest.
