| Inter-house drill competition organized | | | JAMMU | NOV 10 Sainik school, Nagrota organized inter-house drill competition were captain V T Parnaik, Principal of the school was the Chief Guest. Drill is regularly practiced in Sainik School as part of the curriculum which brings out the best synchronization of the physical movements of the cadets with the document of their mind. Thirty-four cadets each of seven houses participated in seniors and juniors category. The contingent of Jhelum senior commanded by cadets Thinlais Wangchuk was adjudged the best drill contingent followed by Sindh seniors as runner-up in the senior category. Among the juniors, Sindh junior commanded by cadets Lalan Singh was adjudged the best followed by the Chenab junior. The Mighty Trikutions (Class 6th) who joined nearly four months back were best in their turnout and were brisk in their drill movement. Group Caption Parniak gave away the prizes and championship shields to the winning contingent. In his address to the cadets, he applauded the efforts put up by the cadets in the performance of drill competition. He emphasized that drill brings out the best in personality, inculcates discipline & Esprit-de Corps amongst cadets. Commander Sanjay Nirmal, Headmaster of the school & OC, JD (I) NCC Coy and Sqn Ldr Nishant Gupta, Registrar of the school, staff and cadets were also presents on the occasion.
