| Motivation camp for BPL women organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Feb 15, 2011: Jagirti Mahila Udyog Kendra. NGO organized awareness cum motivation camp of women belonging to below povery fine families, in the Vijaypur block. The camp was held at village Manga in the Vijaypur block, in which about 200 BPL women participated.
They were made aware of various schemes under self help groups being run by Director of Rural Development, to join hands in groups and avail of the benefits of the scheme to start some earning ventures.
The BDO Vijaypur Noor Alam was the chief guest who explained to the participants about the schemes of self help group and the procedure for taking up the benefit of the scheme.
Veena Bakshi, President, Jagrit Mahila Udyog who had organized the camp motivated the women to form self help groups to get benefit of the schemes, which will help them remove their poverty.
