PCC leader's concern over factionalism in state Congress | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 15: Veteran Congress leader and PCC executive committee member K L Abrol has expressed serious concern over the rising factionalism in the state unit of the party. In a meeting of the "old and loyal" Congress workers held here today, he alleged that factionalism had become more prominent in the state during the past sometime. Abrol said the PCC president Saifudin Soz ought to take requisite steps to bring both factions together. Both the factions were at cross-purposes and this could lead to the weakening of the party in the state, he asserted.Abrol said the old and loyal Congress workers would not tolerate it and would approach the party high command in New Delhi to bring the two factions together. He said the PCC could not afford to face the electorate as a divided house. Among others, the meeting was attended by DCC senior vice-president Nek Mohammad, DCC general secretaries -- Mohinder Kumar, Ram Lubhaya, Inder Kumar Sehgal and Ashok Kumar Nishchal, senior block vice-president Varinder Kumar Gupta and senior Congress workers -- Jagdish Kumar, Shankar Dass and Madan Lal Sharma.
