| Scholarship cheques among Pahari, ST students distributed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Feb 15: An impressive function was organized for distribution of scholarship cheques among ST and Pahari girl students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal Poonch, here today.
MLA Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan was chief guest whereas SSP Ashkoor Ahmed Wani and ADDC Syed Anwar Hussain Shah participated as guests of honour. Among other CEO Ch. Mohammed Ashraf Chouhan, Principal of the Institution Vinay Mohan Misri, staff members & students were also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Scholarship Cheques of Rs. 13 lakh among 652 Pahari students and cheques of Rs. 88,875 among 75 ST students were distributed for the current year at different slabs according to their class enrollment. Speaking on the occasion, MLA impressed upon teacher’s fraternity to impart quality education to future citizen of the nation, special care be taken to impart education to female students, which amounts to imparting education to whole family.
He was impressed by the performance of the institution and announced sanction of Rs.25 lakh on spot out of his CDF for infrastructure development like construction of Auditorium hall, which is in the final stage of construction and two bathrooms separately for staff and students.
