Health Minister visits JLNM Hospital, Rainawari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Feb 15: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma today paid a surprise visit to Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Rainawari and went round various wards. Minister during his round interacted with patients admitted in the Hospital and enquired about various medical facilities being provided by the Hospital Authorities to them. Sharma inspected Physiotherapy, X-ray, Ophthalmology OPD, Pediatric, OPD, Bio-chemistry laboratory and interacted with doctors and the patients. Minister was accompanied by Director Health Services Dr. Mohammad Amin, Director Mission JNRHS Dr. Yashpal, Medical Superintendent of JLNM, Rainawari and other senior Medical officials. On this occasion, the Minister while expressing satisfaction over the availability of medical facilities being provided by the medical authorities. The patients demanded installation of new laparoscope machine as the existing one has gone out of order. Sharma assured the patients that the genuine demands would be looked into. Meanwhile, the Minister also inspected the pace of ongoing works of the newly constructed additional indoor Block. On this occasion the Minister was informed that so far an amount of Rs 27.5 crore has been spent on the project against the actual project cost of Rs 57.76 crore. Sharma asked the executive agency to hand over the Building by March, to the Medical department so that the patients may not face any more difficulty. The new additional block comprises many operation theatres and X-ray theatre. Meanwhile, the Minister directed the medical authority for opening a separate registration counter for ladies so that they do not face any inconvenience.
