| BJP demands inquiry against land grabbers | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 16: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today accused coalition ministers of patronizing land grabbers and accumulating alongside getting gifted possession of grabbed land across Jammu and Kashmir.
In a handout issued here today, state secretary of BJP Vibodh Gupta said that a multifaceted land mafia is operating in Jammu region. He demanded that while the government is verifying the news, they must constitute a high level enquiry commission to probe into the allegations.
Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Vibodh Gupta said that Chief Minister has given free hand to his ministers to accumulate wealth. “Thousands of Kanals of land is being grabbed by ministers of NC and Congress in Jammu and even though Chief Minister is aware about this, he is not taking any action”, Gupta said.
Announcing that his party would hold protest demonstration on February 21 at District Headquarter Rajouri, Gupta said that BJP would lodge strong protest against the government for non-availability of basic facilities to the people. Others who spoke on the occasion included District President Yogesh Sharma, Pashuri Lal, Sanjeev Sharma and Davinder Sharma.
