| Killing of Kashmiri leaders ,BJP demands white paper | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 17: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) today demanded white paper on the killing of several Kashmiri leaders allegedly by the separatists.
This was stated by BJP MLAs Jagdish Sapolia, Lal Chand, Bharat Bhushan, Durga Dass and Baldev Raj Sharma while addressing a joint conference here today. ‘’It is the time to expose ISI under whose instructions some Kashmiri leaders were killed. Claims in this regard have already been made by separatist leaders including Abdul Gani Bhat, Sajjad Lone and Bilal Lone,’’ they added.
MLAs alleged that killing of Mirwaiz Maulavi Farooq in the early nineties too indicated ISI sponsored separatist’s hand adding that security forces were blamed by the vested interests for the killings and both state and central governments remained silent spectators. They stressed that these killings were used by the separatists to whip up anti-India propaganda before international fora and also used the same to misguide Kashmiri youth to resort to gun culture.
They said that when the kiths of slain Kashmiri leaders have come out bravely and accused separatists of their indifferent attitude, real culprits should be brought to the book. “ J&K govt should issue white paper giving details of separatists, political and social organisations, leaders, individuals working at the behest of ISI in the state,’’ they said.
