| Rationalize issues of seniority, promotions: CS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 17: Terming employees an important constituent of systemic growth, Chief Secretary Madhav Lal today asked departments to rationalize all issues pertaining to seniority, promotions, enquiries etc.
Chairing a high level meeting of administrative secretaries here this morning, Chief Secretary suggested setting up separate units within respective administrative departments for the purpose which would focus exclusively on these issues so that records pertaining to employees’ seniority, APRs, enquiries etc. are continuously updated. He also asked for computerization of these records and issues.
Madhav Lal also laid emphasis on building institutional interface between government and the employees so that any issues arising out are sorted out in time. On the setting up of Salamabad, Uri trade centre, Chief Secretary asked the tourism and industries departments to sort out the issues pertaining to it at the earliest.
He also asked the PDD to adhere to the power curtailment schedule and asked the CAPD for adequate availability of ration at its sale centres. On the territorial demarcation of Departments in newly created Districts, the meeting was told that a committee headed by Chief Secretary has already settled the 80 percent of the issues and remaining job would also be done soon.
