| PSU employees to strike work on Feb 21 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 17: All public sector employees and workers federation (PSEWF) has extended support to the strike called by employee organisations on February 21.
In a handout issued here today, they have said that decision to join strike was taken in an extraordinary meeting held here today. Federation has sought implementation of 6th Pay commission in the remaining PSU’s alongside providing sufficient financial support to them and enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 Years.
Prominent leaders who spoke on the occasion included Amrik Sing Sasan, Mohammed Iqbal Kanwarjit Singh, Baldev Raj, Parshotam Lal, Karan Singh Sham Lal, Ashok Sharma Kuldeep Sharma, Pardeep Uppal Jagjit Singh, Umesh, Ramesh Bhal and Vinod Hashia.
Meanwhile, JCC leaders led by Jaswant Singh, Balwinder Singh Kulwant Singh Ravi Singh Bhau, Darminder Singh, Shahid Hussain, Anil Mehta, Sukhbir Singh Soodan, Suresh Sharma, Raju Kumar and Rajneet Singh Chib visited various office complexes and sought support of the employees.
They further criticized the state government for its criminal silence over the already agreed demands of the employees and commitments made with the leadership of JCC through cabinet sub-committee on their demands. They appealed employees to assemble at Hari Singh Higher Secondary School on the Eid Gah Road, Jammu on February 21, 2011 for show of strength.
