Cong urge upon people to fight menace of corruption | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Nowshera Feb 17 : Addressing a largely attended meeting at Laam (Nowshera) Member Legislative Council, PCC general secretary & spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has asked the people to come forward to fight against the menace of corruption in the society and to ensure that the benefit of the Central and State Govt. schemes percolate down to the deserving and targeted population. He said that members of the society especially the educated should stand against the corruption which is eating every vital of the society. He added that corruption is the main hurdle in the implementation of number of Govt. schemes which are aimed at uplifting the poor and weaker sections of the society. PCC general secretary said that recently Congress President Sonia Gandhi at the AICC session has given a call to all partymen to rise against corruption at all level. He appealed to the party workers to realize their responsibility to monitor the central and state govt. schemes at the grass root level. Sharma was responding to the various speakers of the area especially the ST community and poor sections who complaint that transparency is not being maintained in extending benefits to them.
