| MLA inaugurates Govt. Ration Depot | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Feb 17: The long pending demand of about 2000 families of village Mali, Jassar Kote, Pangra, Pangara-Jagir and Bhatti areas was fulfilled with the opening of a Government Ration Depot at village Pangara-Khalsa in Block Panchari of district Udhampur by MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia in the presence of a large gathering of the adjoining villages also, today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia said that most of the inhabitants of these villages who are below poverty line, would be specially benefited with the opening of this Govt. Ration Depot.
He asked the Tehsil Supply Officer, Udhampur to issue new ration cards in favour of those who could not get ration cards so far.
He hoped that with the start of this ration depot the people of this belt would get ration at reasonable rates.
He informed the people on the occasion that they would soon get improved road connectivity from Udhampur town to village Landher most probably at the close of the current financial year involving an expenditure of Rs.10.50 Crore.
