| Hakeem appeals all to be part of negotiation | | | Srinagar, November 11 Chairman Peoples Democratic Front and the Minister for transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has reiterated that dialogue is the only medium to resolve various issues including the grievances of people of Jammu and Kashmir state saying that leaders of different parties should come forward and join the negotiations to seek peaceful solution of all issues. Addressing a well attended public gathering at Wadwan in Budgam district today, Mr. Yaseen said that PDF as a political force would always work for the peaceful settlement of the all issues related to Kashmir. Same view point was put forward at various conferences and meetings held recently to resolve the Kashmir issue. He hoped that positive approach of the Indo-Pak leaders would put an end to the sufferings of the Kashmiri people. Mr. Yaseen expressed satisfaction over the working of the coalition government under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad that government would strive hard for implementing the Common Minimum Programme in letter and spirit. He described complete normalcy as imperative for socio-economic development of the state saying that with the cooperation of the people, government would succeed in restoring peace in the state. Hakeem Yaseen said government has accorded priority for the development of downtrodden and neglected areas of the state and assured that it would try its utmost to come up to the expectations of the people. He said government has set up 19 development authorities for the development of tourist infrastructure in the state which includes development of Doodh-Pathri and Muj-Pathri as tourist resorts in Budgam district, the step would help to provide job opportunities to the educated youth besides raising socio-economic status of common people. Mr. Yaseen said that government contemplates to formulate a massive development programme for the downtrodden areas of Soibug and Wadwan. Under the plan road connectivity drinking water and power facilities would be improved. He announced that work on Rs. 2.25 Crore Wadwan Water Supply Scheme would be taken up soon. He said modern-schooling facilities would be provided in local Higher Secondary School. He said that Galwanpora Water Supply Scheme would be completed by this year while as the Wadwan road will be completed within next month. |
