| Simula XI wins Friendship Cup | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 18: The star-studded side of Simula XI lifted the Friendship Cup Cricket Tournament beating Shafi Cricket Club by 20 runs in the final played at M A Stadium ground, here today.
Earlier, batting after winning the toss, Simula XI set a target of 155 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs, which, in reply, Shafi Club could not chase and exhausted their quota of 20 overs for 134 runs losing seven wickets.
Dhruv Mahajan was top scorer with 65 runs, followed by Hilal Rather and Sameer Khajuria, who contributed 24 and 20 runs respectively.
This tournament was organised by Simula Sports Club inviting cricket clubs from valley and Jammu.
