Establish separate board for refugees: Sasan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 18: Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Societies Amalgamate has demanded separate Welfare and Development Board for the refugees. Addressing a press conference, chief patron of the amalgamate Gurdeep Singh Sasan has appealed the community members and refugees leaders to get unite and put the genuine problems in front of the state as well as the central government. Sasan also appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to kindly issue an order regarding the formation of the board as it will help thousands of displaced people who had to leave their homes and villages in 1947, 1965, 1971 and in past tw decades of militancy. He said that board will work as a link between the Government and the refugees. They also demanded for the formation of minority commission so that the community could approach commission for redressal of their problems and grievances. Later the other speakers were highlighted the problems faced by the Sikh community. Those who spoke on the occasion include, P.P Singh, Hardev Singh, S.S Nain Singh, Surjeet Kour, Surinder Kour, Jagpal Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Harjinder Kour, Rattan Singh, Samarjet Singh, Amrik Singh and Joginder Singh.
