SAPS Domana celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 18: Shaurya Army Pre School Domana celebrated its Annual Day with an entertaining cultural programme performed by the tiny tots, today. The programme started with customary lighting of the traditional lamp by Brig KA Mahabir, Commander, Chicken Neck Brigade as the Chief Guest.It was followed by a prayers song, Saraswati Vandana. It wasexhilarating to see the budding tiny tots perform the patriotic song‘Chak-de-India’ in synchronized unison. ‘Jai-ho’ was also sung by the tiny tots. A skit titled ‘Sher Aur Khargosh’ was also performed. As a mark of communal harmony and national integration prevalent in the School, Kashmiri dance ‘Bhumro’ and Punjabi 'Bhangra' were performed with gusto by little budding artists. The event was jam packed by the parents of the students who evinced keen interest in the function. The grand finale of the theme was a contemporary dance which befitted the socio- educational trends of the society and conveyed the all important message in very lucid terms, leaving the audience in self-introspection and re-evaluation of their priorities and responsibilities. The Chief Guest accompanied by his wife Smiti Mahabir gave away prizes to the students. The audience encouraged the winners with lusty cheers and clapping during the prize distribution ceremony.Earlier, Monica Anand, the principal presented annual report and in her report she highlighted various milestones overtaken by the students in academics & sports, tours and various cultural and co-curricular activities during the current academic session. The Chief Guest, in his speech, was all praise for the efforts put in by the Anand, Principal, staff and students and appreciated the performances and emphasised that the academic education is important but equally important is co-curricular activities.
