Two day workshop held at SMVDU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 17: With the prime purpose of deliberating on the forces that lead to the creation of sustainable and motivated organization, a two-day workshop for Indian Forest Service Officers was held at College of Management of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University from February 17-18, 2011. Workshop was marked by an extensive brainstorming session, insights from the experts, a lively panel discussion and a platform for sharing professional experience by the participating IFS officers on a broad range of issues including environmental sustainability, operational efficiency, and enlightened human resource practices. Chief Guest R.D. Tiwari who is PCCF, J&K, in his valedictory address emphasized relevance of carefully thought HR blueprint in augmenting potential of human resources in Indian Forest Services (IFS). He also moderated panel discussion on the roadmap for creating a sustainable and motivated organization which witnessed a deliberation on the issues of workforce aging, training mechanisms for employees, use of technology in forest management, and many more contemporary issues related to forest management.
